What is Digital Habitat?
Digital Habitat is an image management service designed to simplify the process of uploading, organizing, and managing your images for marketing purposes.
How much does Digital Habitat cost?
Uploading images to Digital Habitat is free (also known as ingress). We only charge for what we actually store. Same goes for traffic. We could not come up with a more fair and transparent model (and we tried!). Read more under Pricing.
Is Digital Habitat fast?
We aim to have your content within ~50 ms of 95% of the entire world’s (internet-connected) population. We do that by routing your content between our global network of more than 310 data centers around the world.
What else does Digital Habitat offer?
When your images are requested we check if the enduser's hardware can work with modern standards. If so, Digital Habitat, will automatically serve the image in formats that is up to 80% smaller, thus making your site load faster!
How do I upload images to Digital Habitat?
You can upload images via our API. Alternatively uploading images can be done individually through the dashboard.
Are there any limitations on the number of images I can upload?
No, there are no restrictions on the number of images you can upload. You can upload as many images as you need.
Do you offer integration with third-party applications?
Yes, we offer third-party integration using API keys. This allows you to connect Digital Habitat with other tools and services to enhance your workflow.
How do you deliver images
Digital Habitat delivers images as an open URL. This means that the image format is not determined until the image is requested. We check the end user's platform/browser and return the fastest format supported by their system.
Is my data secure on Digital Habitat?
Yes. But as a standard, all images are publicly avalible meaning that if a user knows the URL they can retrieve the image. We do also provide the ability to upload images privately.
What limitations do you have
We only have two limitations to assure that we can easily and effectively speed up your experience: 10 Megabyte filesize and the formats has to be PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP, or GIF
